mssandyjohnson | what's going on with this website? Do you know why they are increasing the entry fees with every new comp? And they still have not posted the results for the Art Photo Comp & the Close-up Comp? I have written them twice but have not received a response. |

I wrote competico about a month ago asking them to do away with the free uploads and offered some ideas on the voting. They wrote back saying they were good ideas and they would forward it on to management. Ha, nothing came out of it. They really don't care. As long as they are getting their money. |

And no free entries because the comps would be flooded with more crap so 'friends' could vote for 'friends'. If people were totally honest with themselves and felt confident in their work they wouldnt need SL or whatever. IF ya wouldn't hang it on your wall then dont enter it. imthinkingoutloud | its a valid arguement because with all that is going on, it is breeding miscontent and mistrust between all of us. I personally vote based on the beauty of a photo, the qaulity, and how well it fits the current theme. IF I happen to be familiar with the person (I just started competing here) and their work, and the entry fits the above criteria I may vote. There are some gorgeous photos that finish poorly because people vote too early or choose to vote only for.... |
